Policy FormulationPolicy & Planningcontract

Long-term planning has shaped the city that we live in today. Our long-term plans guide the development of Singapore, mapping out strategic land uses and infrastructure needs over the next 50 years and beyond. In this position, you play a key role in reviewing and updating Singapore’s Long Term Land Use Plan based on evolving global trends and changing domestic demands arising from changing economic, socio-political and sustainability considerations Responsibilities You will help to draw up strategic land use and infrastructure plans to guide Singapore’s long term physical development, formulate and review land use policies and translate them into detailed planning guidelines to facilitate implementation. You are expected to harness GIS and develop applications for planning analysis and undertake research on urban development strategies that will contribute towards a highly liveable, economically vibrant and resilient Singapore. Particular focus will be on optimising land, integrating land use with infrastructure and climate change considerations. Requirements Requirements • Experience and exposure in urban and regional planning, civil engineering, transport planning, environmental studies, building, real estate, geography. • Strong interest in the physical urban development of Singapore • Strong ability to develop insights from data • Possess experience in policy research, review and formulation • Excellent analytical and writing skills • Good presentation and communication skills • Have good knowledge and experience of using GIS • Quick learners with a high level of commitment will have an advantage • Ability to work independently as well as in a team is a must
