Step 2 · The role
The Income Security Policy Division (ISPD) leads MOM’s efforts in empowering Singaporeans to plan and save for a secure retirement. Within ISPD, the Financial Planning Programme Department (FPPD) spearheads strategic communications, research, policy development, and international advocacy efforts to improve Singaporeans' financial wellbeing and retirement adequacy. FPPD also co-leads MoneySense—Singapore's national financial education programme—with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), helping Singaporeans manage their money well and make informed financial decisions on their own. You will help develop and advance partnership and advocacy efforts to improve financial literacy and retirement adequacy for Singaporeans. This involves working closely with both government agencies and non-government entities, including people sector organisations and industry players, to enhance outreach to different segments of Singaporeans. You will also support strategic communications and digital strategy efforts to manage and maximise the reach and impact of public communications initiatives. This could include working with the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board on policy communications and enhancements to their digital services, as well as collaborating closely with various communications entities MOM's Communications and Engagement Department (CED), and the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) on public communications efforts. Responsibilities • Support the development of the engagement and partnership strategy with (i) government agencies to infuse financial literacy messaging at government touchpoints and digital services; and (ii) non-government entities to create awareness and encourage positive financial actions at life stages • Optimise outreach and impact of public communications on financial and retirement planning to raise the overall financial well-being of Singaporeans, which could include efforts to develop and drive strategic policy communication and/or the development of digital strategies • Oversee the strategic management of Institute of Financial Literacy (IFL), MoneySense’s main outreach arm, to provide financial literacy education programmes and workshops to the public Requirements • Tertiary qualification in relevant fields such as Business, Communication Studies, Psychology, Social Science or Public Policy • Fresh graduates welcome; candidates with 2-3 years of working experience in strategic communication, policy communications, partnership and engagement, or communication and behavioural science research preferred • Strong interest in financial planning, retirement adequacy and/or CPF policies • Good inter-personal, stakeholder management, project management and leadership skills • Strong communication and writing skills • Self-driven and resourceful *PwDs are welcome to apply
