The Energy Connections Office (ECO) is tasked to facilitate around 6GW of low-carbon electricity imports into Singapore by 2035, or about one-third of our energy demand then. You will join a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team tasked to facilitate imports into Singapore and regional grid interconnections. Specifically, you will join the Projects & Partnerships (PP) branch in ECO. Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will include: • Negotiating with interested companies on their proposals, and evaluating such proposals to meet our requirements for energy security, competitiveness and sustainability. • Facilitating the development and ensuring the timely delivery of promising electricity imports projects. • Engaging overseas government bodies to secure G2G support for cross-border electricity trading. Requirements Requirements: • ​Keen interest i​​n energy transition issues and passion for the public service. • Excited about learning new things, comfortable with navigating ambiguity, challenging the status quo, and willing to speak up and put forward new solutions. • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with stakeholders • Excellent verbal communication, analytical and critical thinking skills, and prepared to deep-dive into relevant subject areas. • Prior experience in electricity trading, industry engagement and project management preferred • Prepared to travel overseas for work frequently​
