Responsibilities Responsibilities The International Engagement Department (IED) supports IPOS’ vision by building relationships with IP stakeholders outside Singapore, including international organisations, foreign government agencies, institutions, and others, to position Singapore as a vibrant marketplace for IP transactions and commercialisation. Reporting to the Department Head, you will be responsible for the following: • Programme Execution - Identify opportunities and execute plans to advance Singapore’s IP interests in commercial, technical, and policy cooperation. - Organise and support official visits, international events, and collaboration projects. - Draft talking points and reports for senior management. • Stakeholder Engagement - Build working-level relationships with overseas stakeholders and international organisations. - Support negotiation and implementation of cooperation agreements/programmes. - Work across IPOS to align internal teams with IED’s external engagement initiatives. • Research & Monitoring - Monitor IP developments in assigned countries/regions. - Conduct research and prepare country briefs and strategy papers. • Project Management - Execute good project management practices, including timely reporting, workplan tracking, and budget planning. - Provide secretariat support for bilateral/multilateral meetings. - Perform other ad-hoc administrative and coordination duties as required to support departmental operations. Requirements Please write to us if you have/are: • A background in international relations, international affairs, law and/or innovation. • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. • Self-motivated, politically astute, and able to operate in complex environments with guidance. • Excellent writing, structured thinking, and effective communication skills. • Adept at prioritising tasks and thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment • Preferably with experience in, or exposure to, government relations or international organisations. • Some knowledge of intellectual property, proficiency in a foreign language would be advantageous given the job requirement. • Willing and able to organise and coordinate travel arrangements, undertake overseas travel, staff principals during official visits, and lead in-market engagements.
