Step 2 · The role
The Government accepted the Tripartite Workgroup on Lower-Wage Workers’ recommendations to expand the Progressive Wage approach and coverage to uplift more local lower-wage workers. Since 2022, the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) has been progressively expanded to more sectors as well as certain occupations that cut across sectors. The Progressive Wage Team (PWT) was set up to support the operations and regulatory functions to ensure compliance with the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) and Local Qualifying Salaries (LQS). Responsibilities - Conduct audits to check on compliance of Progressive Wage Model and Local Qualifying Salary wage requirements - Follow up on complaints on possible breaches of Progressive Wage Model and Local Qualifying Salary wage requirements - Assess, evaluate case facts, and make recommendations - Handle complex public queries on guidelines and case specific issues - Work closely with Inspections and Education team to conduct proactive checks and education drives to raise compliance and awareness with PWM Requirements • A curious and driven individual with a tertiary qualification in any discipline, ready to bring fresh perspectives and creativity to the table. • Self-starter who thrives in an independent work environment, with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality results. • Excellent communicator with outstanding writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills, able to clearly convey ideas and build strong relationships. • Collaborative team player, eager to contribute to a cohesive and dynamic team environment while working towards common goals. • A passion for making a real difference, with a genuine desire to contribute to the betterment of workplaces and the workforce in Singapore
