Step 2 · The role
As part of the Reserve Management Department that is responsible for the management of Singapore’s official foreign reserves, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the control framework, ensure the timely execution of our investment mandates and contribute to the smooth operation of the department. Responsibilities Your role includes: • Investment Operations • Coordinate with fund managers, transition managers, custodians and internal stakeholders to ensure timeliness in (i) onboarding and terminating investment mandates, (ii) executing transfers between accounts (iii) providing operational support for portfolio administration (e.g., account opening) • Legal and Compliance • Review and negotiate contracts with fund managers and other service providers. • Coordinate with fund managers, transition managers, legal counsel and stakeholders to draft, update and execute contractual arrangements to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. • Liaise with legal counsel and internal teams to manage legal risks effectively. • Data/System Management • Assist with the administration of data and IT systems and liaising with various service providers when necessary, e.g. request for proposals. • Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance system functionalities and resolve technical issues. • Explore ways to automate and integrate new technologies in current workflows. • Others: Risk management, governance and procurement • Coordinate with other departments in areas of control and internal operating procedures, enterprise risk, business continuity planning and audit. • Assist portfolio managers in performance reporting, fee payments and knowledge management. • Manage procurement process and searches for external advisory partners. Requirements · Relevant experience in legal, compliance and operations. · Team player with good project management skills, and able to manage multiple ongoing projects at the same time. · Proficient in using and learning technology, systems and databases. · Self-starter with a proven ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail. · Knowledge of equity, fixed income, or FX is preferred. · Prior experience with legal contract negotiation or transition management is preferred but not essential. · Prior experience with trading systems is preferred but not essential. · Applicants should be Singapore citizens You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment. This is a contract till 2031.
