Step 2 · The role
The Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group works closely with stakeholders to enable a resilient ecosystem that supports the well-being of migrant workers, so that businesses have access to workers who are productive and appreciated by the community. This spans areas such as housing, healthcare, compliance, and contingency planning for the migrant worker sector. As a Senior Data Analyst / Data Analyst in the Data and Ops Tech branch, you will play a key role in strengthening ACE Group's operational readiness through data integration, analytics, and the adoption of digital tools — enabling early issue detection, proactive monitoring, and evidence-based decision making. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with other MOM divisions on a broad range of data analytics and AI projects. Responsibilities • Engage stakeholders to understand business challenges, scope use cases, and translate them into data analytics and AI projects; • Extract, clean, pre-process, and analyse large datasets from primary and secondary sources (e.g. SQL, VQL, Tableau, Excel) to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights; • Build and maintain dashboards, analytical models, and AI-assisted tools; present findings and iterate with stakeholders to refine analysis in line with project timelines; • ML projects (e.g clustering techniques and translating all these into predictive models) • Communicate data insights and business impact through clear narratives and visuals to influence key decision makers; • Work on RPA, geo-spatial analysis, and data governance areas; • Review systems to ensure critical data is captured in a structured manner, and perform UAT on system enhancements; • Participate in MOM's data analytics and AI capability development efforts within and across divisions. Requirements • Tertiary education, preferably with a statistical or analytics background; • Relevant experience in SQL, R, Python, or other programming languages; • Proficiency in applying statistical methods and/or machine learning techniques to real-world datasets, with the ability to select appropriate approaches, build and refine models, and evaluate their performance to derive meaningful insights preferred • Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau, exploratory analysis, and data storytelling; • Ability to perform data wrangling and preprocessing • Experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), including the design, development, and deployment of automated workflows, preferred • Proficiency in geospatial analysis tools, with the ability to collect, manage, and interpret spatial data to support decision-making and experience in geospatial visualisation and mapping preferred • Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail; • Good written and oral communication skills.
