The Strategy, International & Research (SIR) Directorate oversees and drives MSF’s strategic planning, transformation, international engagement, as well as research and analytics efforts to achieve MSF’s strategic outcomes. The Research and Analytics Division drives MSF’s research and analytics efforts, to strengthen the nexus between policy, practice, operations, research and analytics to support MSF outcomes, policies and programmes. Our work entails coordinating the social research agenda, conducting research and data analytics studies, and building research expertise for MSF. As an Assistant Director/Senior Manager (Longitudinal Studies), you will play a key role in advancing MSF’s longitudinal research agenda, leveraging multi-wave survey and administrative data to generate insights on social mobility, family outcomes and long-term trajectories, and translating these into policy and programme improvements. Responsibilities • Contribute to shaping MSF’s research agenda on social mobility outcomes, with a focus on longitudinal evidence building • Oversee the design, implementation and enhancement of MSF’s flagship longitudinal panel survey, including questionnaire design, fieldwork and sampling strategy, data quality and knowledge management. • Conduct and lead longitudinal data analysis to study trajectories and transitions of families over time, and translate analytical findings into policy-relevant insights • Partner internal divisions, Whole-of-Government and external partners to co-develop research studies and translate findings into policy implications and programme improvements Requirements • Strong in quantitative methods and application, and proficient in at least one statistical/ data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, STATA) • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills • Experience with longitudinal/panel datasets and analysis would be an advantage • Familiarity with social policies and social mobility issues would be an advantage
