[About HealthCare-Tech] Healthcare-Tech is a division within GovTech, forward-deployed to and collaborating closely with the Ministry of Health (MoH) family (including other agencies and statutory boards), operating like a modern product organisation to solve important and currently underserved problems spanning across Singapore's public Healthcare sector. We are seeking talented and motivated Software Engineers to join our development teams working on the above sectors. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our software products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Here are some of the products that we have built recently: • Organ Donation Registry • Vaping Information System (VIS) • National Platform for Healthcare Claims [What you will be working on] As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer: • Lead one or more cross-functional agile squads consisting of Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to solicit business requirements & deliver technical solutions • Lead the technical design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring security, scalability, performance, and maintainability • Guide, mentor and work closely with your team to to uplift product engineering competencies • Establish coding standards, best practices, and development processes for your team(s) • Identify and resolve technical debt/risks while balancing feature development • Drive adoption of relevant, up-to-date technologies, practices, and tools in modern software development lifecycle • Drive adoption of AI tools in your team(s) to ensure they raise output quality, not just speed • Lead/Guide Scrum ceremonies, providing technical/product context and removing blockers [What we are looking for] Technical Skills • Senior: 5-8 years | Staff: 7-12 years of software engineering experience building reasonably large high-availability systems at scale • Proven track record of leading & delivering technically complex products • Strong experience in modern full-stack web application technologies; experience in modern front-end engineering on Next.Js/React.js/Nuxt/Vue.js and Java/TypeScript/Node.js/Golang on the backend is preferred • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL & NoSQL) and data modeling • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure and/or GCP • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.) • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools • Experience with observability and monitoring tools, especially the ELK stack, AWS CloudWatch, Splunk • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Bonus: Led legacy system modernization projects, including transitioning legacy systems to modern platforms What We Value • Passion towards working for the public good • Excellent team player & leader who is passionate about engineering excellence • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work autonomously & through others • Initiative: Proactively identify issues and opportunities to improve systems & teams • Strong product mindset: Have a customer-centric thinking, be data-driven in decision making • Collaboration: Share knowledge and contribute to a healthy, transparent team culture • Continuous learning: Stay current with technologies and best practices Please note that this will be a 2-year fixed term contract.
