Step 2 · The role
You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the execution and maintenance of on-premise infrastructure, focusing on resiliency, scalability, and security. This includes configuring and maintaining server and network platforms to ensure secure and reliable operations for mission-critical enterprise systems. You will coordinate IT infrastructure operations, conduct risk assessments, and propose enhancements to strengthen system resiliency. Additionally, you will ensure that physical and digital infrastructure complies with established governance frameworks, data protection policies, and cybersecurity standards. This is both a digital and cybersecurity role, where you will effectively harden infrastructure, architecture, and platform configurations against sophisticated cyber threats. Responsibilities You will work extensively with data centres, enterprise networks, and hyper-converged infrastructure products. Your day-to-day operations may involve windows environments and powershell scripting, as well as managing compute, storage, and network domains. You will support the operation of dedicated disaster recovery sites, helping to establish recovery procedures, test schedules, and align operations with business continuity plans. You will actively monitor data centre operations to maintain high system availability and assist in evaluating diverse technology stacks. Requirements You should have a tertiary education, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, with relevant experience in deploying, administering, and managing complex or large IT infrastructure systems. You must possess strong knowledge of systems, backup solutions, network and storage technologies, and hyper-converged virtualisation platforms. A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles is also essential to ensure secure operations. Experience in deploying and managing IT infrastructure with configuration management or monitoring tools is advantageous. You should possess good written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders, be a collaborative team player, and have the tenacity and patience to resolve technical challenges.
