Step 2 · The role
This role involves working on a project to review the current taxonomy and file plans to develop a common organisational taxonomy. Responsibilities The project will involve activities like planning, data collection, construction, and validation, which will deliver the taxonomy that will be maintained by the knowledge management team. Key activities include describing data and information entities, comparing them with the records retention schedule to identify similarities and differences, assigning names to develop standardised nomenclature, and classifying them into a hierarchical structure of groups called taxa. The main deliverable of this project is a revised organisational taxonomy which is robust, comprehensive, and can be updated regularly over time. Requirements Library and information management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
