In this role, you will not only ensure reliability and scale, but you will architect, innovate and influence the platform's direction. You will mentor engineers, drive proof-of-concepts, lead integrations, and own strategic collaboration domains across the enterprise. If you are passionate about shaping the future of workplace collaboration, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of enterprise collaboration platforms, including chat, conferencing, file share, and email, driving technical roadmaps and domain-level responsibilities. • Drive platform resilience, performance, and reliability through advanced automation, proactive issue detection, and remediation. • Implement AI-powered solutions and integrate communication tools and core business workflows to streamline collaboration. • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical reviews, architectural guidance, and oversight to ensure engineering excellence across the team • Evaluate and optimize collaboration systems, making trade-offs between custom and off-the-shelf systems, and driving continuous optimization, performance tuning and tech debt-reduction. Requirements • Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 4+ years of experience in platform/systems/infrastructure roles. • Deep expertise in at least one collaboration/communication domain (e.g. conferencing, chat/messaging, bots/integration frameworks) and proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell) • Strong experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and system observability/monitoring. • Experience with scalable architectures, containerization and identify/access management (e.g. SSO, RBAC) • Proven leadership qualities, including strong problem-solving skills, and ability to provide technical guidance using system-level thinking. Nice-to-haves • Experience integrating AI/automation agents into enterprise systems or developing real-time collaboration stacks (e.g. video streaming) • Prior work on performance engineering, latency optimization, high throughput systems. • Experience with COTS (commercial) solutions with custom-built modules, or open-source technologies. • Experience working in regulated or high-security environments. What you will gain • Autonomy to experiment with new frameworks, AI, or next-gen collaboration tools. • Path toward Principal Engineer, Domain Lead, or Architect roles. • Training, certification support, and access to conferences. Cross-functional exposure (e.g. cybersecurity, UX, cloud infrastructure) to broaden your skillset.
