The Workplace Policy and Strategy Division’s mission is to achieve “Thriving Workplaces that Promote Economic Growth and Safeguard our Social Compact”. As part of the Inclusive Workplaces team, you will develop policies and initiatives to foster progressive workplace practices and uplift lower wage workers. In doing so, you will need to take into account the need to sustain strong business growth and a healthy labour market; the profound shifts in the way work is done and societal attitudes towards work; and longer term economic, demographic and technological changes. Responsibilities As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to: • Develop and steer policies and initiatives in the following areas: o Uplift lower-wage workers through the Progressive Wage Model (PWM), Workfare Skills Support, and other policies to support lower-wage workers and their employers; o Support the employment of older workers, women, and caregivers, such as through retirement and re-employment policies, and enabling flexible work arrangements; and o Various tripartite guidelines and standards for inclusive workplaces. • Leverage data analytics, to develop robust and sustainable policy solutions, monitor outcomes, and derive further insights to iterate and improve policies and programmes. • Engage and negotiate with our tripartite stakeholders (NTUC and SNEF), industry associations, and unions to understand their perspectives and concerns, to seek alignment and consensus. • Collaborate with operations divisions and government partners to ensure tight integration of policy intent and ops. Requirements We are looking for someone with: • At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred. • Strong critical thinking, pathfinding, analytical, writing and communication skills. • Comfortable with using data to identify critical policy issues and concerns to work on. • Good interpersonal skills to engage and seek buy-in from stakeholders. PWDs are welcome to apply.
