The Fair Consideration Framework sets out requirements for employers to consider the workforce in Singapore fairly for job opportunities. Employers are expected to adhere to the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices, to recruit and select employees on the basis of merit, and not discriminate on characteristics that are not related to the job, such as age, gender, nationality or race. The upcoming Workplace Fairness Legislation (WFL) will strengthen protections against discrimination and help ensure that workers are fairly considered for job opportunities. As an Investigation Officer, you are primarily responsible for investigating companies’ and individuals’ possible non-adherence of the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices (as well as the upcoming WFL when it is implemented) and recommending the appropriate actions to be taken against errant employers. Responsibilities • Investigate companies and individuals for possible discriminatory employment practices and false declaration on fair hiring. • Take appropriate actions against companies or individuals with discriminatory employment practices. • Work closely with Tripartite Alliance for Fair & Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) on cases. • Assist with the formulation and review of operational policies, processes and communication strategies, including for the upcoming WFL. Requirements • Tertiary qualification in any field of study with at least two years of working experience • Be able to write clearly, concisely and logically. • Good communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills • Motivated, independent and able to work effectively with others in a team environment • Have the passion for investigation work • Good analytical skills • Able to work effectively both individually and in a team • Have relevant experience in the areas of investigation or human resource functions will be an advantage
