Step 2 · The role
Foreign Service Administration Specialists (FSAS) contribute to the success of MFA in administrative and operational roles. FSAS officers can develop along multiple career pathways to pursue a career that makes the best use of their skills, knowledge and interests. After a deployment in HQ, FSAS officers may be posted to any of our Overseas Missions where they have the unique experience of being in diverse social and cultural environments. No matter where you begin, you can go far. Responsibilities While at HQ, you may perform one of the following roles: • Consular: Provide assistance to distressed Singaporeans overseas. Provide first responder consular assistance to Singaporeans, 24/7 as part of MFA’s Consular Response Centre (CRC). • Corporate Affairs: Provide administrative support in finance, procurement, travel, relocation or estate management • MFA Diplomatic Academy: Support and execute in-house development programmes for MFA officers and the wider public service • Human Resource: Support and execute various human resource functions such as recruitment, performance management and career development • Protocol: Assist in the organisation of high-level official visits and meetings, and manage diplomatic privileges and immunities • Strategic Communications: Assist in the management of MFA’s corporate communications and monitor news • Technical Cooperation: Assist in the implementation and coordination of training courses and study visits of foreign government officials under the Singapore Cooperation Programme to share Singapore's expertise and developmental experience Requirements • Singapore citizens with strong administrative, planning and communication skills, who are ready to take up the challenge of working overseas. You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
