This is a managerial role that sits at the intersection of operations, policy, and people development. Besides supervising the daily operations, you are pivotal in shaping BSC's service culture, driving and reviewing policies and business processes to ensure their relevance and effectiveness in supporting MFA's mission at home and abroad, and in optimising the use of financial resources. Responsibilities • Lead three teams of officers in MFA’s Business Support Centre (BSC) to provide a seamless, one-stop traveller assistance service for officers on official trips, or who are going on or returning from their overseas postings. • Develop the BSC team’s expertise, experience, and service-oriented culture in managing officers’ and overseas participants’ travels, including foreign guests on exchange and training programmes. • Supervise the procurement of travel, shipment, medical, liaison, transport, and insurance services, and oversee vendors to ensure high standards of service delivery. • Formulate and review policies and enhance processes and systems to support the BSC’s operations. • Ensure that the systems used by the BSC to deliver services and manage data are fit-for-purpose and future-ready, and that officers are trained to use them effectively. • Develop officers’ competencies in operations (e.g., travel and logistics planning and operations), administration (e.g., budgeting and procurement), and ops-policy integration to effectively meet current and future needs. Requirements To meet the challenges of this role, you must be a Singaporean and have: • A good tertiary qualification, preferably in Business Administration/Management, with three to six years’ related experience in a managerial role. • Experience in global mobility, relocation, or a related professional services environment is preferred. • Experience in supporting senior executives and corporate clients is an advantage. • A good track record of leading and developing service teams. • Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups of stakeholders, with drive to manage multiple service streams in a fast-paced environment. • Experience in financial management (including budgeting). Experience in leveraging on technology (e.g. AI) to review and drive business outcomes is an added advantage. Salary will commensurate with experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
