Adjunct Lecturer (Veterinary Technology / Veterinary Wellness Care) Responsibilities Temasek Polytechnic is seeking experienced and passionate professionals to join our team as Adjunct Lecturers in the part-time Diploma in Applied Science (Veterinary Technology) and Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Wellness Care courses to teach one or more of the following subject areas: Subject Areas and Teaching Periods • Animal Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation (Oct 2025 – Mar 2026) • Animal Nutrition (Oct 2025 – Mar 2026) • Herbal Medicine and Nutraceuticals in Veterinary Care (Oct 2025 – Mar 2026) • Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (Oct 2025 – Mar 2026) • Animal Behaviour and Enrichment (Oct 2025 – Sep 2026) • Clinical Veterinary Nursing (Oct 2025 – Sep 2026) • Surgical Nursing and Anaesthesia (Oct 2025 – Sep 2026) • Diagnostic and Laboratory Techniques (Oct 2025 – Sep 2026) • Professional Practices (Oct 2025 – Sep 2026) • Emergency, Medical and Surgical Nursing (Apr 2026 – Sep 2026) Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical/practicum sessions either in-person or via online platforms. • Conduct classes one to two weekday evenings per week (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM) OR Saturdays (before 6:00 PM) within the specified teaching period. • Facilitate synchronous lectures, tutorials and practical sessions, as well as asynchronous e-learning and self-directed learning, by preparing lesson materials, recording lectures, and creating online assessments. • Design, develop, and review subject content, including setting and marking of assessments and ensuring timely entry of assessment results. • Provide academic guidance and support to students related to the subject matter. • Participate in subject review discussions with the designated Subject Leader at the end of the semester. Requirements • Qualification and relevant expertise in at least one of the subject areas listed above. • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in the veterinary sector, with hands-on involvement in clinical practice, animal rehabilitation, nutrition, or wellness care. • Proficient in handling and delivering veterinary care to animals, particularly companion animals and/or exotic species. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine interest in mentoring and engaging adult learners. • Demonstrated ability to facilitate learning, with experience in adult education, training delivery, or instructional design for workshops or courses considered an advantage. • Experience in developing e-learning materials or using digital tools to support learning will be an added benefit.
