Assistant Director (Transformation)

Shape organisation-wide transformation in an AI-enabled world MSD is undergoing a major transformation in how it operates, makes decisions, and delivers outcomes. As Assistant Director (Transformation), you will play a leading role in shaping and driving this agenda, working directly with senior leaders to turn strategy into measurable outcomes. You will lead transformation initiatives across business process redesign, AI adoption, and change management, while engaging stakeholders within MSD, MINDEF and the wider Whole-of-Government. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing senior stakeholders, and making change happen at scale. Responsibilities • Lead the development and delivery of MSD’s transformation roadmap • Identify and drive AI-enabled opportunities to improve how MSD operates • Redesign business processes to be leaner, smarter, and more effective • Build alignment across stakeholders and support leaders through change • Deliver early wins and long-term improvements that leave a lasting impact on the organisation Requirements • 3-5 years of experience in business process redesign, transformation, or organisational change • Familiarity with approaches such as Design Thinking, Lean/Six Sigma, change management, or organisation design • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills • Interest in how AI and digital tools can improve organisational effectiveness • Tertiary qualification required • Experience in the defence or security sector is an advantage
