Step 2 · The role
You develop, review and implement asset management policies and governance frameworks to ensure sound governance, accountability and the effective management of organizational assets. Responsibilities • Develop, review and implement asset management policies, procedures and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organisational requirements and support operational effectiveness. • Translate MINDEF directives into clear implementation guidance for application, contextualised to operational requirements, while identifying implementation gaps and recommending enhancements where appropriate. • Conduct technical research, environmental scanning and data analysis to support evidence-based policy development and decision-making. • Provide policy clarification and advisory support to management, auditors and internal stakeholders on governance requirements, including non-standard cases, audit queries and onboarding of new staff. • Drive policy implementation and change management initiatives through communication and engagement efforts to support organisation-wide adoption of governance requirements and operating procedures. • Support branch operational requirements through coordination of administrative related matters, including liaison with service providers, transport support and management of office assets and supplies where required. Requirements You must have a tertiary education, preferably in Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering or related disciplines. 3–5 years of relevant experience in policy development, governance, compliance, audit, asset management or related functions would be advantageous. You should possess: • Strong analytical, research, writing and stakeholder engagement skills. • Ability to interpret complex policies and translate them into practical business processes and implementation guidelines. • Ability to engage stakeholders and provide policy advice on governance-related matters. • Familiarity with ERP systems, data analytics tools or process improvement initiatives would be an advantage.
