As part of the MSE Family, you will be at the forefront of innovation, leading efforts to safeguard water resources, protect public health, and ensure food safety. Through partnerships across sectors, we tackle evolving challenges while fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive workplace. Join us in shaping Singapore’s sustainable future and making a lasting impact on the everyday lives of generations to come. We are looking for a well-rounded, highly motivated intern to join the organising team to support in planning and executing the upcoming President’s Award for the Environment (PAE) 2027. The PAE is the highest environmental accolade for individuals, educational institutions and organisations that have made outstanding contributions towards environment and sustainability, as well as building a resilient future for Singapore. It is a biennial award organised by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) that recognises and honours the sustained contributions by environmental champions from the People, Public and Private (3P) sectors. The internship will offer hands-on exposure to engagement and communications work in the public service. Shortlisted candidates will support the end-to-end planning and execution of PAE2027, while gaining experience in areas such as event management, video production, 3P engagement, and marketing. Responsibilities (i) Publicity and Content Writing You may be involved in developing content for PAE’s publicity efforts, including writing copy for the call for nominations across our website and social media platforms. At a later stage, you may also help craft citations and profile stories that highlight the achievements and contributions of PAE 2027 recipients. (ii) Event planning and management You may be involved in working closely with our vendors to plan and manage the PAE Awards Ceremony. The scopes include event programming, guest management, video production, and food & beverage. (iii) Stakeholder engagement You may be involved in engaging and communicating with our 3P stakeholders in the lead-up to the PAE 2027 Awards Ceremony, such as the Ministry’s stakeholders, nominees, and prospective recipients. You may also serve as a key point of contact, responding to enquiries, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring that relevant updates are communicated accurately and promptly. Requirements · Strong interest in event management, with a well-organised, meticulous, and resourceful approach. Prior experience in event planning and management is a plus · Good written and verbal communication skills · Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills · elf-motivated and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel · Able to commit at least 4 months, especially during the critical project period (Jun - Sep 2027) [Shorter commitment periods based on individual circumstances may be assessed and considered on a case-by-case basis] University and Polytechnic students on leaves of absence/holiday/seeking industrial attachment positions can be considered for the internship. Period of Internship: Feb/Mar to Sep 2027
