Step 2 · The role
As an SPFD officer, you will be designing, implementing and tracking processes and workstreams to ensure that our strategies achieve MCCY’s mission of building social capital, inspiring the Singapore Spirit and that MCCY and its family agencies (MUIS, NAC, NHB, NYC, PA & SportSG) are future-ready. A key focus of the role is also to ensure that data is managed securely, responsibly and in compliance with applicable Government policies, standards and Instruction Manuals. You will work closely with officers across the MCCY Family, the public service and non-government partners to establish and maintain robust data governance arrangements, strengthen data security practices, and drive alignment on identified strategic and transformation priorities. You will also engage senior leaders within the MCCY Family on data-related risks, compliance requirements and appropriate mitigation measures. Responsibilities a. Develop and maintain data security and governance policies, processes and controls that align with MCCY Family’s strategic priorities and applicable Government requirements, including Government Instruction Manuals. b. Work with internal and external stakeholders to translate data security and governance requirements into clear operational practices, roles and accountabilities. c. Monitor compliance with data security and governance requirements, assess risks and control gaps, recommend timely remediation, and support the implementation of improvements. d. Advise project and business teams on appropriate data handling, access, sharing, retention and protection measures, and promote good data stewardship across the MCCY Family. e. While not essential, familiarity with programme evaluation would be an asset. This includes understanding how to assess a programme’s design and implementation, and whether it has achieved its intended outcomes. Requirements • Dynamic, resourceful, self-driven with a curious mind. • Strong analytical and communications skills (verbal and written). • Good team player. • Appreciation of the current socio-economic environment. • Knowledge in survey design, statistical analysis, emerging technologies and project management is advantageous.
