Engineer/Lead Engineer,Robotics, Automation & Unmanned Systems, CoE

Responsibilities • Working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers passionate in unmanned systems development in either air, land or maritime domains. • Participate in the end-to-end Robotics, Automation and Unmanned Systems (RAUS) capabilities development and delivery. • Liaise and work with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to deliver projects in the area of RAUS, ensuring that the budget, requirements and schedules are being adhered to. • Prepare technical specifications, system design documents, test plans and test reports. • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, highlighting project milestones, issues and expenditure. • Identify potential project risks early and assess its implications to the organisation and project, and to recommend mitigating measures to manage the risks and minimise project delay. • Ensure proper integration and testing of all hardware and software components so that the system is delivered to contractual requirements. • Keep abreast of current RAUS component technologies, which include sensor systems, machine vision, perception, localization, mapping, navigation, autonomous behaviours and communication systems. • Assist in realizing the transition of proven RAUS prototypes into operational systems. Requirements • Experience in technology management, preferably in development of unmanned systems or radio frequency/electro-optical sensor systems. • Preferably with basic knowledge on cybersecurity governance and best practices, as well as communication/datalink implementation. • Applicants with more than 5 years’ relevant experience will be considered for more senior positions. • Has strong planning and project management skills. PMP or equivalent certification would be an advantage. • A team player with good interpersonal relationship, organizational and system management skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; preferably a Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / System Engineering / Communications Engineering / Computer Science. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
