Guided by our mission to amplify, augment and accelerate the Home Team's advantage, we are committed to keeping Singapore the safest place on planet Earth We are looking for aspired candidates to be part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team that look into the management, development and delivery of robotics, autonomation and unmanned systems in the air, land and maritime domains; to enhance the operational effectiveness of our Home Team. Responsibilities • Working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers passionate in unmanned systems development in either air, land or maritime domains. • Participate in the end-to-end Robotics, Automation and Unmanned Systems (RAUS) capabilities development and delivery. • Liaise and work with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to deliver projects in the area of RAUS, ensuring that the budget, requirements and schedules are being adhered to. • Prepare technical specifications, system design documents, test plans and test reports. • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, highlighting project milestones, issues and expenditure. • Identify potential project risks early and assess its implications to the organisation and project, and to recommend mitigating measures to manage the risks and minimise project delay. • Ensure proper integration and testing of all hardware and software components so that the system is delivered to contractual requirements. • Keep abreast of current RAUS component technologies, which include sensor systems, machine vision, perception, localization, mapping, navigation, autonomous behaviours and communication systems. • Assist in realizing the transition of proven RAUS prototypes into operational systems. Requirements • Experience in technology management, preferably in development of unmanned systems or radio frequency/electro-optical sensor systems. • Preferably with basic knowledge on cybersecurity governance and best practices, as well as communication/datalink implementation. • Applicants with more than 5 years’ relevant experience will be considered for more senior positions. • Has strong planning and project management skills. PMP or equivalent certification would be an advantage. • A team player with good interpersonal relationship, organizational and system management skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; preferably a Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / System Engineering / Communications Engineering / Computer Science. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
