Step 2 · The role

[LTA-T&ID] MANAGER / DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, DEPLOYMENT OPS (CENTRE FOR AUTONOMOUS MOBILITY) Responsibilities The Centre for Autonomous Mobility (CAM) leads Singapore’s national effort to deploy autonomous vehicles (AVs) safely and at scale. AVs will reshape how Singapore moves — across use cases spanning passenger cars, public buses and goods vehicles. In the Deployment Ops team, you take each AV deployment from plan to operating service – owning the programme schedule, driving delivery across workstreams, and managing the operators, developers, infrastructure stakeholders, to ensure AVs are deployed smoothly. Plan and manage each deployment programme • Work with operators and developers to evaluate, review and fine-tune service routes and concepts of operations. • Build and own the programme plan, schedule and milestones for each AV deployment, tracking progress against baseline and reporting status. • Identify risks, dependencies and bottleneck early, to develop mitigation plans to keep deployments on track. • Align deployment operational plans with longer-term AV deployment strategy and transport plans, so that AV services improve overall transport connectivity. Drive deployment operations on the ground • Run deployments end to end — from planning through AV applications, vehicle approvals, testing and service launch — keeping multiple workstreams on tight timelines. • Work with industry and technology partners to resolve issues quickly and get vehicles tested and deployed on schedule. • Oversee operational readiness and develop standard operating procedures for the smooth running of AV services once launched – monitor performance, surface issues, manage incidents, and drive continuous improvement. Coordinate across stakeholders • Bring together industry players, operators, government agencies and internal teams, aligning their requirements, securing their support, and resolving operational issues. • Partner with Corporate Communications, industry media teams and CAM’s Engagement team to align public announcements and high-signature events around key deployment milestones. Communicate deployment progress to leadership • Prepare clear progress reports on deployment plans, and statuses for senior management, including distilling complex operational detail into clear recommendations. If you’re excited by public service, and the challenge of putting genuinely transformative technology on the road for the wider public, we want to hear from you. Requirements • Knowledge preferably in Engineering or a related field. • Hands-on programme management and project planning. • Experience in operations management, contracts or vendor management. • Has a strong programme or project management track record • At least 2 years planning and delivering medium-to-large-scale projects or programmes. • Organised and meticulous — comfortable owning detailed plans, tracking progress against baseline, and keeping many moving parts on schedule while working independently in a fast-paced environment. • Works well across stakeholders — listens, builds alignment across cross-functional teams and external partners, and drives to outcomes independently while having the right instincts to know when to escalate for decision-making. • Communicates clearly — writes and reports well, with an eye for detail. • Takes initiative and stays calm in ambiguity — AV deployment is new ground, so plans will change and you’ll help shape them.
