Operations (Ops) Systems Sustainment Centre (SC) supports Singapore’s safety and security by supporting the Home Team through: Enabling business-as-usual (BAU) for the Home Team, Ensuring system longevity, enhancing availability and reliability, Rapid response (being everywhere at any time), Creating value through robust governance in maintaining adherence to compliance and standards. Responsibilities The jobholder will be responsible for the following: • To lead a team to plan and manage the delivery of systems, projects, and support services for SPF’s operations, exercises and events. • To engage the relevant stakeholders and contractors to deliver the systems, projects and support services, ensuring that budget, requirements and specifications are met, through the sound application of project management processes. • To plan and review systems/projects maintenance and support strategies that incorporate proactive approaches, to sustain the system capabilities throughout its life cycle. • To lead or be involved in ICT projects to enhance productivity and efficiency. Requirements • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or ICT-related fields. • Preferably with at least three years of relevant working experience. • Possesses leadership qualities and analytical skills. • Possesses relevant experience on the management of IT and/or communication systems. • Meticulous worker able to carry out responsibilities with minimum supervision. • Able to work under time pressure. • Possesses pleasant personality and able to articulate confidently. • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environment and may need to work outside office hours, weekends and public holidays due to operational exigency. • Prepared to be deployed for overseas humanitarian missions, if any. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
