Responsibilities This position involves overseeing the operational readiness, safety, and compliance of sports facilities, managing contractors and vendors to minimise downtime and disruptions while driving productivity improvements across maintenance processes. Job responsibilities: • Prioritise maintenance, servicing, repair, and restoration schedules according to organisational needs. • Develop and define quality standards and procedures for preventive and corrective maintenance, and formulate plans to improve facility operations. • Ensure seamless integration of various vocational trades including, but not limited to, building and property management, M&E, piping and plumbing, ironmongery, AC/MV, lifts and escalators, and horticulture. • Develop procurement plans for consumable and non-consumable items based on operational requirements, and prepare procurement-related documents for projects. • Prepare technical briefs to select, appoint, and manage project consultants and contractors. • As Project Manager, lead and drive the technical master construction schedule to ensure works progress on schedule, and review and align all technical design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines. • Identify all technical discrepancies between mechanical, electrical, interior design, and stakeholders' provisions. • Engage and coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders, including SportSG divisions, other government agencies, multi-disciplinary teams, and contractors, to review requirements, develop enhancement strategies, resolve technical challenges, and achieve desired outcomes. • Work with ActiveSG venue management and maintenance teams on green initiatives and sustainability projects. • Provide administration and ensure knowledge management of project tender documents, processes, and timelines. • Cascade regulatory, statutory, legislative, and organisational compliance requirements (WSH, EMS, WEB, etc.) into applied practices, and operationalise integration plans, standards, and practices accordingly. • Ensure no breaches of safety, energy, environmental, health, and procurement policies at worksites, facilities, and venues. • Follow up and follow through on project implementations. Requirements We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active. In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following: • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in the field. • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across diverse groups. • A collaborative team player who takes initiative and adapts well to change. • Demonstrates sound judgement, logical problem-solving abilities, effective resource management, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Knowledge in any of the following areas would be an advantage: cost evaluation and quantity surveying, smart/intelligent facilities operations, life cycle evaluation and reporting, and Building Management System operations. The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2/3-year contract in the first instance.
