Step 2 · The role

Marketing/Business DevelopmentCommunity Development, Partnership & Engtemporarymanager

As Manager (Partnerships and Programmes), you will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of community programmes The Manager (Partnerships & Programmes) plays a key role in advancing Central Singapore CDC’s vision of building a Do-Good District and enabling better lives for our residents. With a focus on lifelong learning, the role looks at ways to open up more opportunities for children and youths to discover their strengths, explore possibilities and prepare for the future, especially those who may have fewer opportunities. The role is about understanding what is needed, spotting the gaps and bringing the right people together to make a difference. By working with schools, businesses, government agencies and other partners, the Manager will turn ideas into action, build on what works and grow good efforts so that more children and youths can benefit. We are looking for a driven, purpose-led individual who believes in giving every child and youth the opportunity to discover what is possible. The ideal candidate brings people together, inspires action and turns good ideas into lasting impact. Responsibilities The role reports to the Senior Manager and supports lifelong learning partnerships and programmes that help children and youths explore possibilities and prepare for the future, especially those with limited access to such opportunities. The primary responsibilities include: 1. Develop & Drive Learning Initiatives Take the lead in developing and driving learning initiatives for children and youths, especially those who may have limited access to learning and developmental opportunities. From understanding needs and spotting gaps to shaping ideas, implementation and review, work with partners to create meaningful opportunities that broaden exposure, spark interests and help children and youths discover what is possible for them. Look beyond one-off programmes to develop sustainable and scalable ways of creating impact, building on existing efforts and resources where possible. 2. Understand Needs & Develop Solutions Stay close to the ground to understand what children and youths need, where the gaps are and what more can be done, especially for those who may have limited access to opportunities. Bring together needs and available resources, and work with partners to co-develop practical solutions that make a meaningful difference. 3. Programme & Project Management Take ownership of initiatives from idea to implementation and review. Manage multiple projects, resources and budgets, keep stakeholders aligned and drive towards clear outcomes. Lead or contribute to special projects and cross-team efforts that support Central Singapore CDC’s strategic priorities and respond to emerging community needs. 4. Partnership & Stakeholder Management Build strong relationships with schools, self-help groups, social service agencies, grassroots organisations, community groups, businesses and other partners. Understand what different partners can bring to the table and bring the right people, resources and expertise together to create greater opportunities for children and youths. 5. Build & Engage Communities Bring together children, youths, families, partners and the wider community around learning and development. Create opportunities for people and organisations to participate, contribute and support one another, building stronger connections and a community that plays an active role in supporting children and youths. 6. Grow & Sustain What Works Look beyond one-off efforts to build on what works and make good ideas go further. Strengthen promising initiatives and partnerships, and find ways for them to reach more children and youths, grow sustainably and create lasting impact. 7. Other Duties Support CDC-wide initiatives and cross-team projects, and undertake other duties as required to contribute to the broader goals of Central Singapore CDC. Requirements A degree in any discipline, with at least 3 years working experience in a related field • Experience in programme, project or event management, with the ability to work independently and take ownership. • Strong stakeholder and partnership management skills, with the ability to bring people together towards shared outcomes. • Proactive, resourceful and action-oriented, with an eye for needs and opportunities. • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment. • Strong written, verbal and stakeholder engagement skills. • Interest in children and youth development, lifelong learning and community building. • Experience in curriculum, programme or learning design is preferred. • Knowledge of Singapore’s education, youth or community landscape is an advantage. • Able to work occasional evenings and weekends when required.
