ACRA is seeking a Senior Manager / Assistant Director with data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities and can support the development and maintenance of ACRA’s Data and AI Platform. As a senior individual contributor, you will work with business and technology teams to understand requirements, analyse complex datasets, develop data and AI models, and deliver practical solutions that support ACRA’s regulatory and operational objectives. You will also support management in departmental planning, including the prioritisation and release of platform capabilities and data and AI use cases. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Data Analytics & AI • Perform end-to-end data analytics, including data preparation, exploration, statistical analysis, modelling and visualisation, to generate actionable insights. • Design, develop, test and evaluate statistical, machine learning and AI models for business and regulatory use cases. • Apply advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modelling, classification, anomaly detection and natural language processing. • Develop and experiment with generative AI and LLM-based solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering and model evaluation. • Manage the model lifecycle from data preparation and feature engineering through validation, deployment and performance monitoring. • Communicate analytical findings, model results and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Data & AI Use Cases • Engage business users to identify opportunities where data analytics and AI can address business and regulatory challenges. • Translate business needs into defined use cases and determine appropriate approaches based on data availability, feasibility and expected value. • Develop proofs-of-concept and implement production-ready solutions, incorporating user feedback and operational requirements. • Assess solution effectiveness and identify opportunities for enhancement, reuse and scale. Data & AI Platform • Support the development, enhancement and maintenance of ACRA’s Data and AI Platform for analytics, machine learning and generative AI workloads. • Gather user requirements and translate them into functional and technical requirements for platform enhancements. • Contribute to data pipelines, analytical datasets and other platform components supporting analytics and AI solutions. • Work with technology teams and vendors on platform development, integration, troubleshooting and implementation. • Support the planning and prioritisation of platform releases and use cases, taking into account organisational priorities, technical readiness and dependencies. Planning, Governance & Stakeholder Engagement • Support management in departmental planning, prioritisation of initiatives, work planning and tracking of key deliverables. • Provide advice on data and AI priorities, platform capabilities, emerging technologies and resource requirements. • Apply appropriate data governance, security and responsible AI practices, including consideration of data quality, model performance and explainability. • Keep abreast of developments in data analytics and AI and assess their potential application within ACRA. • Work closely with business units, technology teams, data specialists and vendors to deliver solutions and provide subject matter expertise. Requirements Requirements • Degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics or a related discipline. • Relevant experience in data analytics, data science, machine learning or AI, with strong hands-on experience developing analytics and AI solutions. • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with practical experience in data analysis, statistical and machine learning libraries. • Experience in data preparation, exploratory analysis, statistical modelling, machine learning and model evaluation. • Good understanding of databases, data pipelines, data platforms and modern data architectures. • Experience delivering analytics or AI solutions from problem definition through development, evaluation and implementation. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and take ownership of complex assignments. Good to Have • Experience in predictive modelling, anomaly detection, natural language processing or other advanced analytics. • Experience developing generative AI and LLM-based solutions, including RAG, prompt engineering and model evaluation. • Familiarity with Databricks or equivalent modern data and AI platforms for data engineering, analytics and AI/model development. • Experience with cloud-based data and AI services, data engineering, MLOps/LLMOps or model monitoring. • Experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools. • Understanding of data governance, cybersecurity, privacy and responsible AI principles. • Experience applying data analytics or AI to regulatory, risk, compliance or operational use cases.
