Responsibilities Responsibilities You will be reporting to the Deputy Chief, Sport Infrastructure Group (SIG). In this role, you will be part of the team to build up internal technical competency and establish institutional knowledge to develop reference technical and architectural designs and plans for the redevelopment and rejuvenation of sport facilities through the review of the technical requirements that meets the desired performance, safety, sustainability and operations outcomes by conducting technical courses and seminars. In this role, You will, • Assess the needs of the stakeholders and review the project brief and technical requirements to meet the desired performance, safety, and operations outcomes. • Develop reference technical and architectural designs and plans for the redevelopment and rejuvenation of sport facilities; especially in specialised fields such as swimming pools, indoor sports hall, stadium, etc. • Establish institutional knowledge of specialised technical fields for sports to ensure operations efficiency, user safety, improved building maintainability, and environmental sustainability. • Review the technical solutions and proposals to ensure that it meets the performance, safety, sustainability and operations outcomes. • Custodian of all the technical BIM drawings and repositories for new and existing sport facilities. • Ensure that the project teams update the BIM drawings during project rejuvenation and redevelopment. • Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and compliances for buildings. • Advise on environmental and regulatory requirements, and technical design affecting the projects. • Conduct technical courses and seminars to build up internal technical competencies. • Commercialise the technical expertise to private / public sector developments. Requirements Job Requirements We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active. In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following; • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building/Construction Management, Project Management, Quality Surveying, and/or equivalent. • More than 5 years of relevant working experience with strong knowledge and understanding of building construction and technical design. • Experience in government procurement, familiarity with building and construction regulations, technical sustainability solutions, and sport/recreational facilities operations would be an advantage. • Experience in reviewing 6 to 8 projects concurrently. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance.
