Step 2 · The role
The Joint Operations Logistics Department (JOLD) operates the Integrated Logistic Hub through management of ops supplies and its distribution to the Ops Depts/Divs and coordinates ops support across Pillars/Groups/Divis during incidents/crises/ NE plans to ensure mission success. JOLD fulfils its role through its two branches; Integrated Logistics Branch and Emergency Logistic Planning Branch. Responsibilities You will be involved in emergency planning, drafting of emergency operational plans, planning and coordination of emergency preparedness exercises, and coordinate with other NEA departments and divisions to ensure efficient and effective operations under all circumstances. You will be responsible for the following: • Provide support in planning and formulation of strategies to ensure readiness in NEA’s assigned roles in peacetime and National Emergency • Assist in development, reviewing and implementation of the department’s emergency plans and related work processes • Assist in planning, conducting and/or coordinating internal exercises to validate the plans • Build and maintain information and data for emergency operational planning, where necessary Requirements • At least 1-2 years of working experience in Emergency Planning, Logistics, Administration, or in related fields that require planning and writing skills • Familiarity with business continuity plans will be an advantage • Good interpersonal, verbal, written and facilitation skills • Enjoy planning and applying analytical reasoning • Able to conceptualise ideas, structure, categorise information and reflect these in writing • Meticulous with an eye for detail • Organised and able to multi-task • Mature, independent, and resourceful • Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement • Able and willing to work on weekends and after office hours if needed As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
