EXECUTIVE/ ENGINEER (ASSET MGMT), ROAD & TRAFFIC ASSET RENEWAL Responsibilities We are seeking a forward-thinking engineer to join our Traffic and Road Operations Group. You will play a key role in modernising how we manage and renew road and traffic assets — integrating AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies into our workflows to move towards predictive, data-based decision-making. Asset Renewal & Data-Driven Planning • Support the review and development of asset renewal plans by collecting, organising, and analysing data on asset conditions, lifespan trends, and spare parts availability • Leverage data visualisation tools and dashboards to surface insights that inform renewal priorities and budget allocation • Help build and maintain structured datasets that enable more accurate forecasting of asset degradation and failure risks Project & Procurement Management • Oversighting project progress, including maintaining budgets and timelines and coordinating with project teams • Help compile tender specifications grounded in technical requirements • Monitor project progress and prepare regular status updates for key stakeholders Technology Exploration & Innovation • Research and document emerging maintenance technologies and AI-enabled methodologies, such as computer vision for defect detection, IoT-based condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance algorithms • Support proof-of-concept trials by coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and help evaluate outcomes using structured data collection and analysis Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement • Document operational limitations, SOPs, and learning points from past projects in a structured, reusable manner • Engage with maintenance counterparts and ground teams to gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities Requirements You should have a grounding in engineering principles, paired with an interest in data analytics and digital tools. Familiarity with data management practices or analytics platforms such as Python or Power BI will be advantageous. More than technical skills, we value curiosity, rigour, and a genuine drive to improve how things are done. • Knowledge in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering or relevant disciplines. • Experience in managing a full system development and implementation lifecycle. • Ability to work independently and perform night works when required. • Familiarity with ICT applications in infrastructure management As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
