Step 2 · The role
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facility and providing administrative support for matters relating to security, maintenance, health and safety procedures and space management. Responsibilities • Manage facility operations, electrical and mechanical system maintenance, janitorial services, renovations and infrastructure upgrading works • Carry out preventive and planned maintenance programmes and undertake routine inspections of the premises, fixtures, fitting and grounds • Ensure the facility is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure maintenance and repair tasks are completed on schedule and meet quality and compliance requirements • Manage office supplies and equipment inventory, and coordinate with IT to maintain office technology systems • Assist with budget preparation and management, including tracking expenses and preparing reports as necessary What you will gain: • Experience in planning requirements, managing project schedules, and identifying risks • Skills to determine organisational requirements and plan for future business needs • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and service providers to ensure project completion • Strong communication and negotiation skills as you work on projects with stakeholders and vendors Requirements • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering or related field • Roles for tertiary and fresh grads available • At least 1 to 3 years of experience in facilities management, operations or a similar role is preferred • Familiarity with statutes regulating building standards and construction, Workplace Health and Safety Regulations • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Motivated team player, as well as an independent self-starter
