Step 2 · The role
You will be part of a dynamic team that plays a key role in the preservation and promotion of SID's history and culture. You will be responsible for managing SID's archival systems and developing its heritage content. Responsibilities • Develop and manage the organisation's archival systems, including physical and digital archives, to ensure accurate and secure storage of historical records and artifacts • Conduct archival research and curate content • Work with stakeholders, partners and volunteers to identify and collect relevant materials for the purposes of archival and content creation • Conceptualise and execute engaging exhibitions, programmes and publications • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in archival management and heritage content development to continuously improve our processes and strategies If you are in a senior role, in addition to the above, you will need to: • Provide technical and strategic leadership for a team • Design and implement workplace processes, with future trends and needs in mind • Plan and guide your team’s professional growth, in both general and technical areas. • Build good relations and workflows with internal and external stakeholders • Mentor and develop junior team members to maximise their potential What you will gain: • A deeper understanding of SID as an organisation and its contributions to Singapore's national security • Experience in building culture and identity in a complex organisation • Experience in heritage and archival management Requirements • Degree in history, museum studies, or a related in preferred • 5 to 8 years of experience in knowledge management and archival systems • Experience in writing and curation for museums and exhibition, and developing creative outreach and engagement strategies is preferred • Keen interest in Singapore's history and heritage is preferred • Strong stakeholder, resource and project management skills • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to see the big picture and also a keen eye for detail • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
