You will be part of a team that plays an instrumental role in developing strategic communications plans for SID, and the conceptualisation and execution of key communication initiatives and campaigns for SID. Responsibilities • Develop and implement strategic communications objectives for SID • Conceptualise and execute effective marketing projects and programmes (including content creation and design) to drive greater awareness of initiatives and developments within SID • Manage the overall channel strategy for the Communications team, including identifying appropriate platforms and modes of communication for different projects and messages • Stay abreast of market trends and best practices to develop quality content that is relevant and timely to our target audience • Develop data-driven monitoring approaches to regularly analyse the effectiveness of SID's communications plan • Foster strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders and partners If you are in a senior role, in addition to the above, you will need to: • Provide technical and strategic leadership for a team • Design and implement workplace processes, with future trends and needs in mind • Build good relations and workflows with internal and external stakeholders • Plan and guide your team’s professional growth, in both general and technical areas. • Mentor and develop junior team members to maximise their potential What you will gain: • Exposure to different parts of SID and opportunities to enhance interpersonal and stakeholder management skills • Experience handling a range of communication activities, from building a communications strategy to executing communications campaigns, and rolling out brand initiatives • Opportunity to formulate communications narratives that help ensure organisational alignment on key initiatives and developments Requirements • A university degree in Communications/Marketing/Digital Media or equivalent or at least two years in a Marketing/Communications/Digital Engagement role • Prior experience or proven track record in basic video editing, design and/or content creation for social media (e.g. short-form videos, social posts, photography) is preferred • Good understanding of multi-channel communications, including social media trends • Confident in project management and enjoys working in a people-oriented environment • Creative, with an interest or flair for storytelling • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to see the big picture and also a keen eye for detail • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence • Motivated team player, as well as an independent self-starter
