We are seeking proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Procurement family and contribute directly to the defence and national security of Singapore by strategising and executing the procurement of state-of-the-art defence systems, critical goods and essential services. Responsibilities The successful candidate shall be responsible for the following: • Strategising Procurement: Partner closely with project teams to understand their requirements, review technical specifications, and formulate robust procurement strategies tailored to project requirements. • End-to-End Procurement Execution: Conduct procurement processes which include preparation of the sourcing documents, evaluation, negotiation, approval and contracts. • Contract Management: Manage contracts in terms of monitoring supplier performance and supporting contract management activities. • Market Intelligence: Perform data-driven market research and engage industry to understand the supplier landscape, market constraints, and global supply chain conditions. • Process Innovation: Actively identify opportunities to add value, streamline workflows, and introduce innovative solutions to improve the procurement processes. • Compliance to Procurement Principles: Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and guidelines to ensure transparency, fairness and value for money. Requirements You should possess a blend of governance awareness and strong interpersonal skills: • Education: Tertiary qualification in any discipline. • Project Management: Ability to manage timelines effectively, staying organised and meticulous. • Analytical Capability: Possesses strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Communication & Collaboration: Good interpersonal and communication skills and work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams. • Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. No prior experience is required. We will train and develop you. Candidates with relevant working experience in procurement and contract management may be considered for the position of Assistant Procurement Manager.
