You oversee the department’s asset management functions across multiple branches, ensuring effective governance, accurate asset accountability and optimal utilisation of assets. You will lead the implementation of asset management frameworks and ensure compliance with established policies and requirements. You will strengthen asset control and data integrity through effective use of the ERP system to support accurate asset tracking and management information needs. Responsibilities • Oversee the department’s asset management functions across multiple branches, ensuring effective governance, asset accountability and optimal utilisation of assets, and driving the implementation of asset management frameworks and controls to ensure consistent application across the organisation. • Coordinate annual stocktake and asset verification exercises, including monitoring discrepancies, investigating asset irregularities, and implementing corrective actions to strengthen asset control and compliance. • Maintain oversight of asset information within the ERP system to ensure data accuracy and integrity, and support audit, management review and information reporting requirements. • Engage stakeholders across branches to support compliance with asset management requirements and facilitate effective implementation of asset control measures. • Lead and supervise a team of asset management officers in the execution of asset management and service support functions, including prioritisation and coordination of operational service support requirements. • Oversee operational procurement activities, providing guidance on vendor sourcing and selection, and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and organisational requirements. Requirements You must have a tertiary education, preferably in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Logistics Management or related disciplines. At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in asset management, operations management, governance, compliance or related functions, including supervisory or team leadership responsibilities, would be advantageous. You should possess: • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex operational requirements and competing priorities across multiple stakeholders. • Experience in supervising or leading teams to deliver operational outcomes, including workload allocation, prioritisation and resource management. • Ability to manage operational resources effectively, including manpower, time and operational support requirements, to ensure efficient service delivery. • Ability to oversee and implement operational frameworks and control measures to ensure consistent application of asset management processes across multiple units. • Experience in managing asset lifecycle processes, including stocktake coordination, asset verification and discrepancy resolution would be advantageous. • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate and align operational requirements across different branches and user groups. • Familiarity with ERP systems, asset tracking processes or data management tools would be an advantage.
