EXECUTIVE ENGINEER / ENGINEER, TRAFFIC ANALYSIS & PROJECTS Responsibilities This role supports the planning, assessment, and delivery of bus priority measures at bus stops across Singapore. You will play a key role in improving bus safety and travel experiences by designing and/or reviewing traffic schemes, coordinating the implementation of traffic measures, and working closely with internal teams and bus operators to deliver practical solutions. • You will support the Bus Safety Tripartite Taskforce in delivering an islandwide programme to enhance bus stop operations and public bus safety through the implementation of appropriate bus priority measures. • Your role will cover the end-to-end process from identifying operational issues at bus stops and recommending suitable traffic measures, to coordinating implementation works and reviewing their effectiveness. You will ensure assessments are conducted in a consistent and structured manner to support efficient programme delivery. • You will work closely with internal divisions and bus operators throughout the review, implementation, and post-implementation stages, and leverage traffic, operational, and GIS data to support data-driven decision-making in a dynamic and collaborative working environment. Requirements • A degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or Engineering related field. • Experience in public transport operations, traffic management, or a related area is preferred. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Traffic data and/or modelling skills will be considered favourably • Hands-on experience in data analysis tools such as Python and data visualisation platforms such as Tableau to translate data into dashboards and actionable insights • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including interaction with members of the public on understanding their feedback. • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving. • Passion for improving public transport systems and enhancing commuter experiences. As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
